Bio

Lorraine & The Borderlands were drawn together through the Scottish music scene, Lorraine a butcher’s daughter from Donegal, Jonee Duggan a techno DJ turned accordionist, Nick Jenkins an Eton school boy turned travelling fiddle player and Calum Ingram, classically trained turned folk rock cellist, creating a musical combination you won’t forget.

Lorraine’s songs come from a place of great strength, vulnerability, depth and defiant optimism. Along with her engaging narrative, powerful voice and fantastic band,The Borderlands, an exciting and game changing second album with award winning producer Jim Sutherland is emerging.

Good Things is the exciting first single from this upcoming album and from Nick and Calum’s soaring strings, Jonee’s melodious accordion to Gordy Duncan Jr’s banging drums – its a song that bursts with a vibrant, raw energy that is sure to lift the listener.

Lorraine & The Borderlands recently supported Deacon Blue and Karine Polwart who tipped them as the next big Scottish breakthrough act. From rave reviews for their debut album, including 4 stars in the Scotsman and a showcase on BBC Introducing and STV, the band are attracting the attention that their music deserves.
